Sabum Robert's Journey as a Taekwondo Instructor at Redlynch Branch Since 2021

 

Since being promoted to the branch Instructor (Sabum) at Rhee Taekwondo Redlynch in 2021, my life has been deeply intertwined with the art and discipline of Taekwondo. The journey has been transformative, both personally and professionally. A Passion Ignited: My love for Taekwondo began later in life proving that Rhee Taekwondo is for all ages. The discipline, the movements, the philosophy—all of it resonated with me. As the years passed, I not only honed my skills but also developed a profound understanding of the values Taekwondo imparts: respect, perseverance, integrity, and indomitable spirit.

 

The Redlynch Chapter Begins:

When I was Promoted by World Master Chong Chul Rhee to the position of Branch Instructor for Redlynch, I saw it as an opportunity to share my passion and knowledge with a new generation. Redlynch became more than just a place of training; it became a community—bound by a shared passion for Rhee Taekwondo by all students. Shaping Lives, One Kick at a Time: As an instructor, my role extends beyond teaching kicks and punches. I am entrusted with molding character, instilling discipline, and fostering growth. Every class is an opportunity to inspire, challenge, and motivate, with my Assistant instructor and Black Belts both Senior and Junior setting good examples of what can be achieved with perseverance and dedication.

 

The Ripple Effect of Success:

One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey has been witnessing the growth and success of my students. Every time a student achieves a new belt, masters a difficult technique, or overcomes a personal challenge, it reaffirms my belief in the power of Rhee Taekwondo to transform lives. I've seen timid children blossom into confident young adults, shy individuals discover their voice, and those grappling with personal struggles find strength and resilience through Rhee Taekwondo. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the supportive community we've built together at the Redlynch branch. Fuelled by Encouragement: While I strive to guide and mentor my students, they, in turn, inspire and motivate me. Their determination, passion, and unwavering spirit drive me to be a better instructor, mentor, and human being.

 

 In the world of Rhee Taekwondo, the journey never truly ends. There's always more to learn, more to teach, and more lives to touch. As I look back on my journey since walking onto the floor as a White Belt, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences, the lessons, and the countless memories created at the Redlynch branch. Rhee Taekwondo has not only shaped my life but continues to enrich it every single day. And as I continue this journey, I am reminded of the profound impact we can have on each other's lives when we strive for excellence, support one another, and never stop reaching for our best, whether it is at training, in our personal relationships, school or work. Rhee Taekwondo Redlynch is about the students. A Black Belt is a White Belt that Never gave up!
